MERIDEN, Conn. — Desmond's Army Animal Law Advocates is offering a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) responsible for the deceased dog found at Beaver's Pond in Meriden on 6/25.
The dog was located in a garbage bag, partially lying in Beaver's Pond. We are asking anyone who may be able to identify this dog and its owner to please call Meriden Animal Control-Saving Paws at 203-235-4179 and ALWAYS leave a message.
Meriden Animal Control - Saving Paws conducted a necropsy on the dog. It was found that the dog had a corn cob lodged in its small intestine, which caused a blockage. The dog did not receive any treatment and ultimately died from the obstruction and dehydration. The deceased dog was a young adult male, brown and white, appeared to be a Labrador mix with a longer coat and a feathery tail, approximately 26 lbs. when found.

This is heartbreaking. Hope the perp is found and plays dearly 💔
